Food For Life Classes

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

I am so excited, in November I graduated from the Food For Life Instructor program and am going to start teaching Food For Life classes in the Payson area. My first class will be at the Community Presbyterian Church Deacon's Pantry on January 17th at 12noon.

What is Food for Life? Food for Life is an award-winning program that teaches nutrition education and cooking to reduce diet-related chronic diseases. Designed by physicians, nurses, and dietitians, Food for Life classes promote healthful eating based on the latest scientific research. Since 2001, Food for Life has been a pioneer in providing hands-on cooking instruction and nutrition education classes to communities around the world.

Each class includes:

  • specific information about how certain foods and nutrients work to promote health

  • cooking demonstrations and sampling of delicious, healthful recipes that can be easily made at home

  • practical cooking skills and tips for making healthful eating habits part of daily life.

Below is a flyer with registration information for the first Food For Life class in Payson. Class size is limited, so register soon. And this class is Free..... I am able to offer this class through the sponsorship of the Community Presbyterian Church and a grant from VegFund. Hope to see you there.

I can also offer these classes on-line. If you are interested, please send me a note and if there is enough interest, I will offer some of these classes on-line.
